Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.
As a photographer some photos are well planned, or at least you have an idea of the possibility as you are shooting.Others, like this one, are a marvelous surprise!!
The potential was there but her true beauty didn’t come through in the photograph until the contrast increased. I wish I could say I have mad Photoshop skills, but all I do is move the dials until the image comes out of the raw materials, no fancy editing(yet). I sometimes wonder if it is anything like what masons and sculptors have described, as seeing what is in the rock; their job being to chisel away the extra stone to reveal the form that was hidden inside. I feel the same way about this photograph, I had to focus and find the image that was trying to come out naturally.
She is an unexpected pleasure.
